Students in Blencathra are working on the LAKES pathway and preparing for their transition to Sandgate at QKS. They work on a thematic curriculum, with a new theme each half term.

Learning is linked to this theme and assessed via Sandgate Steps, with trips planned to help embed their learning. Students will also develop their life skills with frequent trips to supermarkets and cooking sessions. Students will also work on an individualised curriculum, based upon their IEP targets.
